4X4 Crossmember
I am converting my 69 to a 4X4, I have bought a 71 4X4 frame, differentials from a 76, and I have a manual transmission with a NP 205 transfer case.
I need the transmission cross member or at least a photo of it so I will know what to be looking for at the junk yard. I have been reading this board for 2 years now, and I absolutely think this is the greatest place for information. I guess I should just email directly to longhornmail. Just kidding. Maybe junkyardjohn has something.(he only lives 60 miles from me). |

You'll need the x-member and the torque mount bracket too. This bracket fastens the xfer case to the passenger frame rail. Sorry no pics though.

I suspect that John has two of everything! You should contact him
and make a trip over to see him as he is a very interesting person and of good character. Besides that he knows these trucks inside and out. He used to be in Michigan but I think he has found a home out there. Welcome to the board from Michigan! Jim |

Thanks
I will email him in the morning, looking forward to meeting him after looking at his rides. I know they have some pretty classy auto dismantlers there in Carson City. I must go meet him and spend the day lolly gagging in the depths of metal madness.
