To the best of my knowledge there isn't any production model available. However if you are set on having one. Using a tape measure, check the sizes of some of the newer model step beds for something that works. Getting one very close to what you need and cutting down the frame supports can be done plus the cover itself can be modified at your local shop.

I bought mine from a vendor in one of the truckin' magazines. I will see if I can search the net and see if I can find it.

Here's mine:

I don't have any good pic's of the tonneau cover down but you can see it here:

Re: Lookin for a tonneau cover for 72 c10 stepside

I always went to an upholstery shop and had one made. I assume you want a frame. It would still need to be bolted because there's no inner lip to use clamps on. People get all funny about the teeny holes for snaps. It's no big deal to me. If I ever don't want a tonneau any more They are easy to fill. They're only like 1/16" or so.

EDIT: Tonneaus are made out of vinyl or other fabric. That's a bed cover shown above.

Re: Lookin for a tonneau cover for 72 c10 stepside

Not last year but in 09 @ the KC Midwest Trk Nationals there was a vendor there that sold Tonneau covers custom made for any truck. Think he had a three week shipping delay on custom jobs. By the time I searched for his vending spot he had already left. But his prices wasn't out of line. In the ball park of $300 with all the bells and whistles (tilt n velcro). I don't recall the vendors name or the name brand of cover he offered. But this year I will make a better effort of getting contact info.

That bed cover is sweet. I like the fact the mounting holes are inside the wheelwells too. I'm subscribed. I am looking for something just like yours. How hard is it to remove if you wanted to haul something?

There are two hinges on the front bed rail that would need to be unscrewed in order to take the bed cover off (from what I remember). The hydraulic arms are easy to remove.

I will try and go through my folder of receipts tonight to see if I can find the name of the company that made this for me.

Re: Lookin for a tonneau cover for 72 c10 stepside

i thought i heard someone say the bed sides, front panel, and tailgate on a stepside bed are all the same from 1947-1987. I may be wrong but would think that would open it up to alot more options

Here is the website - http://www.checkerpro.com/2.html I don't remember the price since I can't find the receipt but I want to say that it was around the $500 mark.
