Look familiar?

I like the way chevy did the front ends.I always thought the new front end looked kind of retro.now I have the chance to park them side by side.

Re: Look familiar?

I have been hearing people say that since 07... I still don't see it, and I look at the nose of an 07 burb all day, and the 68 nose on my burb all evening. I just don't see it, other than a line through the center.

Re: Look familiar?

Looks more like a '90s S10 grille to me.

Re: Look familiar?

Personally I like the newer grill of the trucks and the Malibu.

I was at the dealer today actually talking to the sales people about that very same subject, but you could tell they didn't get what I was talking about.

Oh well...

Re: Look familiar?

I can see some styling cues that are very similar,,, like the way the hood transitions into the outer front fenders, and the grill has the double inlets.

Re: Look familiar?

i really like the look of the new body style.i never cared for the style of the 99-06. in fact,i couldnt wait to see the "new body" style to come out in 99.when i did i was disapointed and ended up buying a 97 in 99.
any excuse to buy another chevy truck is a good one!

anyway...the way the hood slopes down in front and the openings on the grill i think look very similar. i wonder if i could incorperate a "c-10" emblem on it...hhhmmm.............

Re: Look familiar?

If you squint, and hold your tongue just right, the Tahoe/Avalanches are reminiscent of the 67-68s...

Re: Look familiar?

The did retro the styling a bit.

Now if you put the newer one on a diet will it look
like the one on the right?

Great looking newer truck BTW and congrats!

Re: Look familiar?

The step in the hood where it meets the fenders, and the two slot grill with bowtie in the centre...i'd say there are definitely echoes of the past there.

Re: Look familiar?

I can't see it. But I am partial to my 06. I did not like the 03-05 grille with the way it fit the hood. IIRC the 06 and 07 classic are the only ones with that hood/grille.

Re: Look familiar?

i definitly see the resemblence. i like it. you can mostly see it in the grill and the hood/fender transition
