Big Block Swap

I know it's been gone through and I'll do an exhaustive search, but for those of you that have dropped a Big Block into a 4X4 truck or Blazer, what was the hardest and most expensive part. I'm considering a trade that would involve this swap and need to know what I'm getting into. Thank you.

Getting the big block all cleaned up and painted! Okay so I'm not actually done putting it in, but I should be able to give you some real advice hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday. That's when I should be dropping in my 454. From what I have gathered a problem is usually around the distributor hitting the firewall. One solution is a slight body lift, I'm doing a 2" one. Another solution is to modify the firewall with a hammer - not what I wanted to do. I will probably end up moving my engine crossmember, but that is easily done. I give you more input in the next few days.

The problem is the valve covers hitting the firewall. The body lift helps. If you move the crossmember be sure to take some off the ends so you don't push the frame out. You will also have to move the trans X-member and shorten the front shaft and lengthen the rear shaft. If you move the engine you will not have to lift the body.
