Found some 67-72's today!

Went to a local pick-n-pull to find some parts for my honda today. After I checked the Honda's with no luck, I started to look through the trucks.

I usually find one 67-72 if I'm lucky but spotted about 10 today! Most of them had the good stuff taken but a lot of uncut dashes and other misc parts left behind.

After seeing all these I still came home empty handed.

Re: Found some 67-72's today!

yeah, there were actually a lot of small parts but I'm just not one to pull em and keep em in the garage.

somebody who likes to collect/re-sale pieces would have loved to be in this junkyard today!!

Were any of those short beds? Wonder what they would want for a complete bed assembly... might be cheaper than restoring mine.

Omg! Those trucks are cleaner than our good trucks for restoring are here. They have floorboards n rockers and wheelarches on the beds.

Re: Found some 67-72's today!

Those look like the trucks in yards down here. Most of the time they want an arm and leg for parts and it is not even worth pulling them for resale. A great source though if you need parts for your own project.

Nice find.

Yeah, we're all droolin' up here. The stuff you guys call "junk" out there we would kill for. Problem is ya gotta chose between rust-em or wreck-em in the winter.

Re: Found some 67-72's today!

geeezzzz what a shame... why not just buy the whole freakin cab and swap it out instead of going thru all the work of just replacing a PART of your floor/rocker... (the white truck) .. now that cabs pretty much junk other than cutting more patch panels out of it...

Re: Found some 67-72's today!

They don't sit in the yards very long...maybe a week or two at the most, than off to the crusher. There is a very high turnover here. Lots of stuff coming into the yards lately.
