Porterbuilt C4 Dropmember who has them/opinions...
Just wondering who all has one? Trying to decide if I go with the C4 member or the regular dropmember...
Who has one and what do you think of it... What are the pro's and con's vs the regular dropmember? Anyone know if the shockwave's for the C4 unit can lift a big block and 4l80e trans? |

If you are looking for performance, this is a great solution. If you want a slammed truck that lays on a big tire and rides smooth... the regular Dropmember is a great choice. We have also been working on a performance version of the Dropmember (Dropmember Touring) that uses a coil-over and maintains the C10 spindles and brakes... its main focus is performance as well and will have some cool features/options. Stay tuned...

I have a C4 Dropmember for a BBC/4l80e sitting in a box waiting to get dusted off (Vette parts sitting right beside it). Fall 2011 should be the start date on the assembly of those parts....

I've got one. It's good so far, but I haven't spent much time tuning it. You can lose 60-100 lbs off the front end (can't remember the exact number) from the stock stuff. It could cost a bit more, but performance cost money right?

Re: Porterbuilt C4 Dropmember who has them/opinions...
Humm, interesting... I was actually looking at the C4 member for the cost savings to be honest.. I can get 2 complete c4 assemblies (arms spindles calipers everything) for $300 through my day job... and can get the shock waves at a break too... Now to get just a brake kit that is comparable would cost me more then the whole c4 assemblies...
But I really want this thing to lay out.... Guess I have some decisions to make!?!?!! |
