Question about accessory setup

Okay guys, here's the deal. As of now, I have a pass. side dipstick and LWP setup on my 350. I am running the alternator and PS pump, but had to strap the compressor to the frame because it won't work on the pass. side because there's an alternator there. I want to go to a SWP so I won't have to lengthen my A/C hoses. I've got most of the brackets to do the swap. My question is, can I mount the compressor on the passenger side with the dipstick being there? Also, my engine is mounted in the 4wd position. If ya'll (that's "you all" for the people up North) could post up some pics of that area, that would be great. I wanna get my A/C back asap. It's Texas and it's starting to get hot down here. Oh yeah, it's a '67 Chevy 350/3ott if that helps.

Here's some pics of the engine (cause I know I'd upset some people if I didn't post pics):

Re: Question about accessory setup

here's a couple of pics. Do you have the old style compressor shown? I can't tell what water pump is mounted but you can see that there's plenty of room for the dipstick.

another left side looks like LWP but not sure.

Re: Question about accessory setup

Well, the first 3 pics are a BB, mine's a SB, so the brackets will be a bit different, but it looks as if everything will clear. lol I'm such an idiot. I just remembered that my cousin has a '72 parked in the barn on the road behind my house with the same accessory setup that I want pictures of. I can just go look at the brackets on it. duh! But if somebody has a 4wd with A/C and can post up a pic of the compressor/air box/dipstick clearances that would be awesome. I think 4wd's had the compressor on the pass. side. I can't remember.

Darn it I looked at a few others and they were BBs and when I saw these I didn't even pay attention. I think you will be fine though. My corvette is set up with the compressor on the right and the alt on the left but is has the short water pump.

Re: Question about accessory setup

I guess I could always remove the alternator and mount the compressor since I already have the brackets. Just to make sure everything will clear. If it doesn't I'll just have to wait until I move the engine forward where it's supposed to be when I drop in my 5-speed. Thanks for the help guys!
