Question on PS pulleys

My truck is a non/AC. At some point I will add AC. It has a single groove pulley now. Do I need a double groove pulley for the PS and AC setup?

Re: Question on PS pulleys

you could prolly manage with one long pulley id go to a double pulley though.
look up different pulley set ups and see if there going with one or two. seems like 2 would be less of a head ache

Re: Question on PS pulleys

AC trucks that had power steering from the factory only had one groove pulleys for PS//PS was a small belt that only ran the steering pump

Re: Question on PS pulleys

OK. I was getting the info from catalogs. My crank pulley is a 3 groove, the water pump is a 2 groove and the PS is a single. There is currently no AC compressor so that is where the question was coming from. I do not have any factory pics so will go by what you guys state. Catalogs show a double groove on the PS. Guess I should be more clear but you read my mind. Thanks cdowns.
