62 motor mount questions
Is there a motor mount kit to switch my 235 to a sbc? Am I able to use the front engine mounts for a 283,or a 327 and where could I find them? I know I need a different bellhousing....a little guidance please

Re: 62 motor mount questions
I've seen alot of advice on here but its seems to be mostly for 63-66. Will the 67-72 work on a 62? Does the front engine mount for the 235 work onthe 283?

Re: 62 motor mount questions
You can use a front mount on a small block, but you need the saddle that bolts to the front of the block. In using this setup you will have to use a bellhousing with the side mounts to keep the engine stable.
I would recomend using either the '67-'72 small block frame brackets or the '73-87 C20 frame brackets. With either one you will need a spacer on top of the frame at both mount bracket.
