Need A/C Controls Install Help
OK, so running into a problem installing my A/C controls. I'm wondering if I'm missing a part or if something else is wrong. I can't get the A/C controls to line up with the mounting holes in the dash. It's been too long since I took the old 'heater only' controls out and I no longer have them for comparison. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or missing? Hopefully these pics will help. Basically, the mounting points on the dash are further apart than the points on the a/c controls. Also, when the controls are flush in their slot, the mounting points are about 3/4" - 1" away from the mounting point on the dash.

Re: Need A/C Controls Install Help
You are missing the bracket that bolts into the two larger holes on the bottom of the dash seen in your pic. the bracket then bolts to you a/c controller. I may have a spare but I will have to look. It will be fri. before I could look for you.

Re: Need A/C Controls Install Help
Well, I'll be. I must have let it go with the stock heater controls (assuming heater controls need this same bracket). I appreciate the info. Definitely let me know if you have an extra. I'll see if I can come up with one in the meantime and will respond to this thread if I do. Again, thanks a bunch! BTW, if anyone knows what its officially called, let me know that too, if it has an official name. That would help in my search.
