GMC engine paint question

Ok been lurking for a while and have a question. On a 69 GMC what color should the block be painted? The reason I ask is the 307 I removed is green close to body color. Any suggestions. Thanks

Re: GMC engine paint question

I'm 99% sure it's supposed to be orange like a chevy.

Re: GMC engine paint question

Iv'e seen 292 L6s, pre-'67, painted alpine green (like Detroit Diesel Green). The 250s were blue but they painted the 292s green like the older 261s. In '67 all Chevy engines were out in Chevy Engine Orange. GMCs may be different.
