posi rear info request
a friend just got a complete leaf spring rear axle [i have a coil spring rear] with a posi [ratio unknown].
i would like to have a posi in my '67 C-10 panel. i have a 3.73. how many different series posi units are there? what are the ratio ranges of each. point is if this were to be a 3.08 [or whatever is the close #] would the 3.73 work. same for a 4.10. thanks rod in AZ Last edited by VA72C10; 03-07-2011 at 10:39 AM. Re: posi rear info request
I cannot remember at the moment for sure, but I think the carrier stopped at 373 and the next picked up at 410....
....moved to the correct forum so hopefully someone knowing more about pumpkins can help

Re: posi rear info request
12 bolt truck goes , 2.76-3.42 on a 3 series carrier....3.73 & lower(higher numerical numbers), are on a 4 series carrier. You can get an aftermarket (thick ring gear), to run a 3.73/4.10/4.56 gear on a 3 series carrier.... crazyL
