Dana 44 Steering Arm Cone Washers
Okay, I need to replace the 3 steering arm cone washers on the Dana 44. I'm putting in the raised steering arm and need new ones. I have tried the parts stores, GM part number 3965138 but none can find them. They are available on gmpartsdirect.com and other online sources, but I'd like to get them sooner than later.
Has anyone had any luck finding these cone washers at the local parts stores or other sources? Thanks.

Re: Dana 44 Steering Arm Cone Washers
The ones I removed are in decent shape, just some minor grooves on the openings up top where I taped them a little with a punch while trying to remove the arm.
Is there any good reason why I should even replace them, or should I just re-use them? Thanks

I'd reuse them.

As long as they aren't cracked, or have serious damage you are fine.

I have always re-used them. The only time I ever had to replace one was when some previous person was in there with a cutting torch.
