Brakes locked up?

I just got my 1974 1/2 ton 4x4 running again and I put it in gear and I had to really give it gas to get it to move and now I've found that the front brakes are locked up pretty darn tight. Its been parked for about a year. Also I have no pressure at the pedal but that might be because the vacuum line isn't hooked up? I didn't think this should make the brakes lock up. I should also add that when I last drove it the right front brake would randomly lock up and almost pull you off the road. (hence why it was parked) haha. So does this mean that my calipers are bad, or master cylinder maybe?

Re: Brakes locked up?

well the way youre talking i would think that wither the calipers or the rubber hoses to them need to be replaced. having been in a similar spot i decided to just change out both as the lines are only like $15 each and with calipers and brake pads i paid less than $125 for everything and i knew the front brakes were completely good after that

Re: Brakes locked up?

Hey thanks for the reply, I will try and get some new hoses and see if that takes care of it, if not I'm headed to the junkyard for some calipers. Can't afford brand new ones for a truck that I might only drive through the fields at work this summer a couple times
