valve covers!

well just realized the polished aluminum valve covers arent gonna cut it. i live real close to the beach and these things just oxidize way too fast.

where get a set of those paintable valve covers with the chevrolet script on them?

i have the gm crate 350 which is painted black, so i either want black valve covers or chrome.

some pictures would be nice.

i need to clean up the engine compartment, going to add some chromed SS radiator hoses new chromed air cleaner and get rid of all the loose wires etc and some new dynomax ceramic coated headers down the road...

Ive seen the ones I think your talking about on e-bay, there are a couple of "power sellers" on the west coast that had them. I'd just double check their seller ratings first though, later Doug

I live on the beach also and i've found that by having aluminium polished then powdercoated clear the oxidation isn't a problem

I'm not that familiar with this issue, so I was wondering why you can have a chrome air cleaner but not chrome valve covers?

Get some high temp clear coat. I just bought some used ones, blasted em clean, painted all but the raised areas orange, then shot with clear. Looks pretty good, and no corrosion worries.
