another gov lock question

Found another gov lock on cl for cheap, the guy will take 90 if I just take the gov lock and leave the axle. It comes from an 83 C10 10 bolt. Is that a 28 spline axle, or will it not fit in my 10 bolt for any reason?

Re: another gov lock question

30 spline axles showed up in '88 on trucks if memory serves, so should be 28 if he has the year right. Just look it over carefully. Make sure the flyweight appears to be complete and that the gear teeth are not stripped, broken, or missing.
