Re: a couple of newb questions
When i was working in a body shop we use a hair dryer to heat the stickers then slowly peel them off.

Re: a couple of newb questions
I'll take this one...4) I have an electric fuel pump should it have a filter before it or after?
both, I know the sending unit in the tank has a "sock" but I would still run a pre pump filter, put it right where the fuel line goes out the floor of the cab. there is a section of rubber hose there. Then put a second filter near the carb. If you are running a factory quadrajet you need to discard the original filter inside the fuel inlet of the carb. good luck

Re: a couple of newb questions
the reason I ask about the filter is that it seems to be starving the pump and making quite a racket , also it is mounted to the cab which might be part of the extra noise , but the filter is right over the exhaust pipe and I have a feeling the gas is getting boiled out of the filter, can you show me a pic of how it should be mounted?

I've read to set you ebrake tension, push your ebrake pedal down half way, hook everything up.... I'm going from memory here, so I'm sure others will chime in if I'm off my rocker with either of these Good luck and to the truck boards from NC

Re: a couple of newb questions
You can reuse the nuts for the badge. Remove the hood latch pin from the hood, remove old badge, install new one.

Re: a couple of newb questions
well got a couple of things done thanks for the info
heres the old one and the new one I didnt have to pull the latch, there was enough clearance with the one hole in the hood and also the hole where the latch hook goes
