1960 chevy unibody pickup

I need some help about this truck.
It is all original 1960 chevy 4wd unibody. I can't find anything on the net. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched everywhere but no info was found.

Re: 1960 chevy unibody pickup

Some on here posted a pic of the 1964 south american chevy truck, looks a little like a dodge shape wise, totally differant from our basic shape, so I don`t think that would be the case here.

This isn't a Chevrolet Corvair 95 is it?
I'm flabbergasted too!

http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Pi...1960-1973.html

Chevy did have the 1955-1958 Cameo Truck.

The Chevy Cameo Carrier Pickup and the cousin GMC Suburban Carrier Pickup were only built between 1955 and 1959, as a limited production of fiberglass fender sides mounted to a steel cargo box. Total production for the Cameo was around 10,000, with just 5,220 produced for 1955. There were far fewer of the GMC counterpart made, only 1000 total and 300 for 1955. Because there were so few pickups made, there are very few still around.

Got to be a cut down Carry-all, since Fleetside beds don't go up that high.
B pillar is different too.

Neat though, I'd fix it up.

Re: 1960 chevy unibody pickup

I have found 2 others that are the exact same, 1 totally rotted out the other made into a slamed truck. Both claim to have come from the factory as a unibody. This is not cut. I'm thinking they made a few before they realized how bad of a truck it was and stopped making them soon after.

Re: 1960 chevy unibody pickup

Is that a K series? looking at the drivers side front spindle? that thing must have been in that barn for 40 years. Whata find!!!! It really looks like a carryall thats been modified. Could have been factory but there were still a lot of coach builders around then.

Re: 1960 chevy unibody pickup

Yes it is a K series. I was going to put corvette suspension in it front and back with a ls3, but I think this is to rare to do it to. So I may just leave it as a survivor. When it gets here I am going to see what it will need. I bet flushing the tank, cleaning the carb and a tune up and it will be good to go.

I have a 69 longhorn that is in the process of full corvette suspension and a ls3 will go in it when the frame and body is finished.

My good friend and I are doing a 63 f100 unibody chopped 3 inch, cab strecthed 18 wit a suicide door on the drivers side.

Re: 1960 chevy unibody pickup

It looks rare for sure. Even if it's a modified carryall it isn't something anyone sees at all and would be worth saving as is. It would get lots of looks for sure. from the pictures it looks like in ok shape. hope you dont hurt it digging it out.

Re: 1960 chevy unibody pickup

if these were produced in and for another country it would explain the rear window slant since many of the austrailian fords and dodges had a design close to that.and it would make sense to have the higher box sides for looks as well as functionality.i would really like to see the taillights and a close up of the rear of the cab.
