Trick exhuast mod

This post should have some pics to soon follow as progress develops, as I'm
currently adding an exhuast bypass solenoid on each side before the mufflers and dumping back in just after.

With the help of a few collector flanges and some crafty pipework, Im hoping the net result will be worthwhile. More to the point, I thought it would be unique to hear the exhuast tone increase from the same location rather than a different area of the vehicle. Maybe adding a 3-way toggle to engage a
microswitch off the throttle linkage to activate at w.o.t.

Anyway, If some of you have experience in this type of modification, perhaps you could steer me away from some of the unforseen complications, I'm just not sure how much of a difference the cuttouts will make after they re-enter the tailpipes... Thanks guys

Dude, that w.o.t. microswitch idea is killer! I don't know if the solenoids would open up that quick though. You're engine might redline before they're completely open.

3/4 throttle maybe? It does sound like a slick deal, or just have a quick action lever with a cable operated setup?

Maybe have a pneumatic actuator to do the work and then just use a regular electric solenoid (think air bag set ups here) that would be fast and can be micro switch controlled... total james bond/myth busters style!
