Any vendors do body bolts?

Do any vendors offer just the 2wd blazer body bolts as a kit? I bought one of those body mount kits and cheaped out on hardware thinking i could easily find it. Unfortunately, these things are just not easy to find. I tried one of those trailer places but nothing long enough. Can anyone maybe think of somewhere else to look?

LMC or probably any of the vendors. I just bought a set of bolts and the necessary washers/nuts to go with a poly body mount set I got from Energy Suspension.

I hope they are at least grade 5, if not grade 8.... think about the force needed to keep the body mounted to the frame... there have been discussions about this....

I just bought (within the past three weeks) and installed an LMC rubber body mount kit on my Blazer and it had the correct carriage bolts. Mount position #2 (front floor area) does use hex head from the factory.

Re: Any vendors do body bolts?

Typically Carraige bolts are made in Grade 2 strength, unless otherwise noted on them. I used to sell industrial supplies and many people thought Carraige bolts and hex head bolts were all the same strength. They aren't and there's no need for a grade 8 bolt from body to chassis. There are certain strengths you look at in bolts for certain reasons, and how the body is mounted I don't see a need for grade 8 bolts. I tend to put grade 8 in most everything I do just because, and not always because it's required.

Too bad you already got the bolts, I probably have body bolts sitting around and I know forsure I'll have a few blazer sets of bolts in a little while here.

Re: Any vendors do body bolts?

I just received all the body mount kit hardware from LMC. Everything seems as it should.

TruckMan - how do you like the body lift? Are your bumpers hanging 1" low now?

I like it, didnt plan on needing it but i mounted my NV4500 about 1/2" too high. only con is the bolts all being standard hex heads and not carriage bolts. the bumbers are an inch low, but its not really noticable on the rear and the only noticable part on the front is that the gap between the grille and the bumper is almost non existent

I have the 1" ORD body lift as well. In the pic you can see where the bumper ends up in relation to the front grill surround. The fan shroud had to be lowered to clear the mechanical fan and the shift linkage on the column is a little off now.
