Raising the bed floor 4 inches
just thought you guys might be interested in how we raised the bed floor on our Joe Touring c-10. Enjoy. Any questions let me know.

I appologize for the pictures there kind of all over. The guy working on the bed didnt really take enough pictures to show you guys step by step so heres a few shots that kinda show you what we did.
First we unbolted the bed into all the seperate peices. Then we took the factory angle strip moved it up four inches and welded it back in so the bed bolted back together just like it did from the factory. |

I may be asking a stupid question but what is the reason for raising it? Is it to gain more clearance under the wheel well for bigger tires?

To achieve our desired ride height we modified the rear frame in a manner wich required raising the floor.

Looks good nice work. I saw a raised floor at a show once that was held in by jb weld and what looked like about 5 gallona of rtv Im gonna be rasing the bedfloor on the 68 but probably not until the fall. Already did the cab just need a decent bed. I did this on my bodydropped 84 c30 dually 7"
