64-66 mirrors bolt up perfectly in our trucks.

I took my 66 out just to see, took the 68 off (They have totally different looks) and the 66 lines right up across all 3 holes AND with the angle of the roof. Couldn't believe it and it looks pretty being too being all chrome. If you are not set on full stock and are replacing the mirror I would seriously consider this.

Re: 64-66 mirrors bolt up perfectly in our trucks.

They are all chrome and, in some ways, better that the original 66 mirror. (LMC) It suprised me because I first called and asked if the 68 stock replacemment was black and they did a research ticket, called me back and said yes. I ordered it and it was beige so I asked for the 66 to just see and BAM! (I knew it would fit after trying the mirror out of my stock 66 but I wasn't going to use that.) It looks awesome and provides plenty of clearence for the visors. It is a little less length wise but fits the rear window perfectly when looking through it. It also has a vintage look about it. I will get better pics from different angles when I get off work if anybody wants them.

Re: 64-66 mirrors bolt up perfectly in our trucks.

I like it! My '69 didn't come with one so I bought one from LMC. It looks good, but the visors hit it which is kinda lame. Maybe this older one would be better.

Yeah, I was thinking outside mirrors too. Nice look though. I might have to consider it for my truck.

Re: 64-66 mirrors bolt up perfectly in our trucks.

I like it because it is all chrome, and thin with a touch of vintage about it. No bulk and my visors swing free of it. IF you look closely you can see my sunglasses hanging off the visor joint.

Re: 64-66 mirrors bolt up perfectly in our trucks.

OH!!! Those three holes! I like it. The '67-looking but actually many years combined GMC truck I'm building actually has a '72 cab. I was contemplating trying a '67 mirror and how it would fit. I have the '67 wing vents which are actually carry-overs and styled to match that 64-66 mirror. I never got that far,so now I am sure I know what mirror will be in my truck...Thanks!!

Re: 64-66 mirrors bolt up perfectly in our trucks.

Glad it could help a little. I like it a ton more, no spongy cover for the mechanics, the thin feel, all chrome. I still can't believe the geometry is the same considering the differences between my 66 and 68. TOTALLY different trucks.

Looks nice. I just bought a '54 Chevy mirror to stick in my '72 GMC since they were stuck to the window.
