A gave my truck away.
I gave my 69 to my son. He bought me the 1987 R-10. I need to put the original height front springs back in the 87. The wheels hit the inner fender when I make a sharp turn, and if I get a flat the A arm will drag the road. And I wont be able to get a jack under the truck to change the flat tire. What do you think?

Re: A gave my truck away.
I like them both. Besides, their all in the family. So, even thought you gave the 69 away, you can drive it anytime you want.

Lucky son. Lucky dad. Last thing I got pa was a case of beer on his birthday. It would be nice if he handed off a rig like that. Beauty truck boss.

Re: A gave my truck away.
My only problem to this hole deal is did your son do the lowing of the 1987 or did he buy it that way.Even tho there both nice trucks But today's Kids can't enjoy a smooth rolling truck. To days Kids do every thing back ass back words.I guess that sence I've always been a truck man for hauling scrap iron and pulling trailers for the better part of 20 years and being in a 3/4 ton truck and a 1 ton.Where there is no confert.I see these Kids do some real bad hack jobs on some real nice car's and trucks. And most the time they never finsh it or they do such a bad hack job there in a accendent do to the unsafe mods they have put in there trucks.
the father is right You need the stop bumps just in case you have a blow out you can put a jack under it.I can remember when Air bags came out.Every one stated pulling out the Rubber stoppers so they can get it as low as possible. One problem the air bags that first came out where junk and they tore up a lot of sheet metal |

Re: A gave my truck away.
My son bought the 87 for me. It was already slammed. I plan to raise the front up 2 inches. It is to low in the front. And sorry, but I can't afford another son. LOL.
