Finally installed factory rally wheels

Picked up some 15x8 rally wheels in the local paper 2 years ago. Went to a junkyard last week and got the center caps and trim rings. Put 255/60/15 up front and got 2 new 275/60/15 in the rear. I like the oem look tons better than the alloys.

Before:

After:

Just have to save up for final body prep work and paint. Also a replacement 700r4 since the one in my truck is slipping pretty good. After that, I'm pretty much "done" with this truck, but we know that never happens

I am not a fan of alloys but I really like those. I think it looks good either way though! Can never go wrong with rallies!

Nope. A lot of guys here have gone with 8 lug wheels off the newer trucks. They look good on our squares. I bought a set for my CC project.

That shorty looks better with the rally's. Good choice.

Re: Finally installed factory rally wheels

I got ralleys on mine, so I guess I'd be alittle biased as well. You should have put 295's on the back. That would have looked cooler!

Re: Finally installed factory rally wheels

Sorry guys, no updated pics with new wheels, it's pouring out! Have to wait a day.

I always liked the 255 and 275 combo on these trucks. Never thought about the 295 but maybe when these wear out I'll try those. By that time I'd probably want some 17'' torque thrusts though.

To lower this truck, I installed western chassis 2.5'' spindles and belltech 2'' coils. For the rear, a western chassis flip kit, shackles set at 1'' mark, and western chassis c-notch.

Just need a new 700r4 soon since this one is on its last legs. Then prep for paint! I also have a Mar-K roll pan, but after being bumped a bunch of times (just this past week was hit AGAIN at a stop light!), I am thinking twice.

305 TBI although not the fastest, performs pretty decent with some minor bolt ons, and gets 18 mpg to boot.
