Craigslist score!!!

Well I couldn't believe it when a found a pair of 71-72 truck bucket seats on Craigslist. The post said "pair of 60's buckets seats for a Chevy or Ford possible Blazer or Bronco. From the picture attached they looked to be Chevy trucks. So made plans to take a 250 mile road trip yesterday, since the wife and I had the day off. I'm not going to tell you all what a good deal I got because I feel guilty about how little I had to pay to get them. It was well worth the $75 dollars I had to put in the gas tank!!! They are not the right color for my truck but I may sell the red covers if anyone is interested. The passenger cover has two small cuts, one in the back and one in the side but are very small. I need black covers. I'll let you all know if I decide to sell them.

Re: Craigslist score!!!

WOW, very nice. I'm not sure about the back covers... does that mean they are from a Blazer?

Re: Craigslist score!!!

Those look good. Buckets were from a blazer or burb because of the back covers but they have the correct truck bracket on the passenger seat now.

Worth at least 7-800 even with the ripped covers!

Re: Craigslist score!!!

Nice! They're probably truck buckets that had repro Blazer backs put on when recovered.

I'm thinking the same thing. They have the right truck brackets and after market covers on them. I don't think they made red and black insert in 71-72.

Re: Craigslist score!!!

You're right. All bucket seats were vinyl with scroll, even cheyenne super. those are definitely aftermarket covers.

Re: Craigslist score!!!

the seats look nice .I believe from the pics what you have are 75/77 blazer buckets with 71/72 covers.the drivers mount looks to be the taller style mount and the lower shirt is 1 1/2" shorter in the rear than 71/72.73/74 has the same upper bun as 71/72 but the 75/77 goes straight up on the sides.looking at how the upper covers fit is why I say they are 75/77.69/72 are straight from the front to the back on the lower skirts.73/77 lowbacks run straight back for about 5" then taper upward to the back.the passenger mount looks correct factory or aftermarket 69/72 truck.

first pic is back of 72 blazer bucket.note how lower skirt is 1 1/2" lower than plastic back. that is how I now your buckets are 73 up.second pic is front of 76 bucket note how side bolsters go straight up.third pic is 73 bucket note bolster curves around the top.Name: 101_0187.jpg
