brake booster

i want to up grade my 71 c10 with power brakes, now can i use a new brake booster from a newer truck, can anybody help me?

Why not just get a booster for a '71?
I would go to a salvage yard, find a '71-'72 truck with power brakes, and take the booster, brakets, and vaccum line from the engine. I also think you have to switch master cylinders, but i'm not sure. I would call up the auto parts store and see if the part number for a '71 C10 with manual brakes is different than the part number for a '71 C10 with power brakes. Good luck!

I heard that a booster from a 73-87 truck will fit you will have to make the push rod longer and drill some holes. I am going that route with my 67 I like the look better. Search under booster and 72MARIO you will find some info there
