Ram Assist power steering
System is worn out. Center link is different than non assist and needs to replaced along with steering gear. Can a 68-72 be swapped in? I have a friend who owns a wrecking yard with several C-10's in the yard so finding the trucks wont be hard. Has anyone ever seen one of these what a pain. I pulled the steering gear and noticed when i removed it the link that attaches to the steering arm is very loose and moves every which way and the steering gear shaft moves in and out and side to side.

Re: Ram Assist power steering
Welcome to the 67-72 Chevy Truck Board from West Michigan!
Check your frame to see if it is dimpled at the steering gear box. If it is then swapping in a power steering box will be easy. If it is not then the frame can be modified to accept the power steering box. Jim
