62 SWB bed cross beams

I'm getting ready to reassemble my 62 SWB bed. I have 3 cross beams that are about 3 inches tall, the tailgate beam, then another beam that is only about 1 inch tall. Two of the three inchers go at the front of the bed on the frame mounts. Another 3 incher goes about a foot in front of the tailgate beam. Where does the 1 inch tall one go? There's about a 4 foot gap, and if I put it in the middle, it is right on top of the tire - which isn't going to work.

Can someone explain the spacing of the SWB crossbeams?
Thanks

if I remember right and it is the same as a lwb, I think it goes under the front of the wheeltubs.

Re: 62 SWB bed cross beams

ah ha. So that 1" tall one doesn't even sit on the frame. It just goes across under the front of the wheel tubs. Seems like a long gap in the middle of the bed without much support, but that must be the way it works.
Thanks
