Can I ?

Can I replace my 68 cut-up dash with a 70 dash ? I'm pretty sure they are the same , just want to make sure . Thanks , jimmy

I believe so....the only difference I know of is AC vs non-ac dash

Thanks Geoff , they are both non a/c . Now I need to find someone trust-worthy enough to switch them out for me .

....why don't you cut it along the dash pad area, and weld it into yours??
The pad will cover the welds, so no worries if you can't weld like me

The only thing I've ever used is J B Weld ! lol Thinking about a small one from Harbor Freight , mabey with a little practice .

check out this thread....it has a picture showing where to make the cut.....I think this is an excellent spot to practice welding cuz you can cover it up after you're done....

Just went out and looked at the un-cut dash , what happens when you get to the last holes on each end ? Continue straight across , up , down ?

well....I'm not sure....I'll have to look when I get home....isn't it bolted to the kick panel??.....look up under the dash and see if you can unbolt and pull off after making that cut

I see now ! I'm a little slow sometimes . lol You continue the same line till you get to the end . I did'nt think the dash pad went all the way over & tuck down by the windshield post . Thanks for all your help Geoff . I think I'll give it a try when I get to that point .
