Re: Video of my bagged '71
Thanks everyone. Ive been wanting to put together a video since I bought the GOPRO about a year ago, yesterday I finally got a free afternoon to actually do it.
It took me a long time to find an old plate that was in good shape and the right year!

Re: Video of my bagged '71
Ever since the first time I heard that song I thought itd be a good one to use in a video of my truck. It kinda fits the theme Im gonna go with on the truck. Im not into wild paint jobs and fiberglass interiors so mine got a foot print gas pedal and a gun rack lol. You should see the look on the younger kids faces when they see a truck layed out on big chrome wheels and then they look inside and it looks like Joe Dirt has been driving it lol.

Re: Video of my bagged '71
How did you get that camera angle when you were driving? Did you make some kind of mount for it? Pretty cool.

Re: Video of my bagged '71
The go pro camera has a suction cup mount that you can install.

Re: Video of my bagged '71
Thanks everyone, glad you like the video. The GOPRO has a suction cup mount but it would have the camera right up next to the body, I wanted to be able to see the front of the truck so you could see as the front moved up and down, so I took a piece of half inch electrical conduit and bolted it to my bumper, then I have a handle bar mount for my camera that just clamped onto the pipe. It stuck out about a foot and a half from the side of the truck, thats why theres no footage like that while driving in traffic lol. Once I figure out how to flip the video, I'll run the camera hanging down so its just a few inchs from the road. Also gonna try facing the camera backwards on that mount to get video of the sparks when dragging. Might try to make another burnout video while the cameras on that mount also. The "chase cam" where the truck is following the camera has the GOPRO attached to a roll bar mount and then clamped to the cage in my Jeep. The GOPRO is a pretty neat little camera, you can do lots of cool stuff with it. It actually records in HD but I have to convert the video to run it through my editing program so it degrades the quality. If you click on the video and go watch it on Youtube you can go to my channel and see lots of other videos Ive made with it on my Harley and my RZR, plus theres some raw unedited video that you can watch in 720p HD.
