Switching 6 cd changer to single
Is there a code that has to be used? The single is out of a 2004 hd that my son had but he said that there was a code to make it work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the theft protection code? That is set by the owner, if you don't have it, the dealer is the only way around it that I know of.

Re: Switching 6 cd changer to single
I am a Gm tech that does a lot of radios. In 2003 the most gm radios are programmed on the data line. You will need to visit a dealer and have that radio programmed to the vehicle. They will just need to tell the truck it now has a U1C radio (single disc) instead of the UC6 (6 disc)
I did the opposite in my 06 truck. I swapped the single for a 6 disc. Hope this helps.
