Re: sbc motor mounts

Yes that is how that mount works. The hole in the middle is threaded and the bolt goes through the perch into the center of the rubber area. The item shown was the result of a search for a 1963 Chevy C10 with a 283.

There are several good Chevy truck sites on the web, but this one has the most active membership. It's a friendly place to be if you're looking for input from individuals with a variety of build preferences and specific areas of expertise.

And welcome to the forum!

Re: sbc motor mounts

Welcome to the forum

The same motor mounts were used for the small block equipped trucks from '63-'72. Don't forget to use a good heavy flat washer on that 7/16" bolt that goes up thru the frame bracket and into the motor mount.

I gotta get a set too. I just keep forgetting to keep my eyes out. Really should pay attention so I can work on getting my Burb running before next winter gets here.

Re: sbc motor mounts

It is 14 thread......7/16"-14 by about 1-1/4 or 1-1/2" long. You'll also need a good heavy flat washer. I would go with a L9 flat washer if you can find a couple.
