Well here we go another project for me only this time it has some meaning to me. When I was in high school me and my dad both had c10 trucks mine was a 68 GMC lwb and his was a 67 chevy long step side. I sold my truck shortly after high school but my dad kept his and worked on it he built a 383 and stuck a 700r4 behind did 3" flowmaster mufflers with exhaust dumps he liked it loud. Needless to say about three years ago he backed a trailer into the door and parked the truck he could not work on it due to health reasons. Two years ago he passed away due to heart failure and my mom wanted me to have the 67 so i took it knowing i was in for some fun. Here are some pics of my first weekend with the truck i had to replace the door and put a fleetside bed on the truck that my dad had purchased.

Re: New Member
Well this weekend I got a little done despite the rain, my truck is street legal so I can take it back to Dallas. I installed the tail gate, roll pan, front bumper and grill trim and all new lights. The only problem I'm having is I think the transmission sat for to long. I have a 700r4 and it has been sitting for probably 10 years. I drained the fluid and installed the lock up kit from painless and the EZ-TV cable system and the truck drives and shifts awesome. I started working on getting the carb tunned and the timing set right and on my fourth test drive the truck does not want to move in reverse like I have the e-brake on if I put the truck in neutral I cant push it back either if I kill the truck then I can push it in reverse. I know if i go to a tranny shop there going to say I need a transmission so I may just order a new one from bow tie overdrive and be done with it.
