Re: anyone have the LMC in bed tire carrier
Don't have one, but am going to make one once I find a matching rim for my spare. With the through bolt holes (there are several), you should be able to have the tire sit on the bed floor.

Re: anyone have the LMC in bed tire carrier
One of the Board members made an in bed tire mount with a trailer fender cover over it painted the same as the truck. It looked super slick. I can't remember who but i am sure someone else will.

Re: anyone have the LMC in bed tire carrier
Why in the bed? My son bought a kit for my '70 C10 that mounts under the bed and can be cranked down from the bottom of the tailgate. Works fine. The later model kits probably will allow you to lock it.
Be well. |

Re: anyone have the LMC in bed tire carrier
My '68 came with one very similar. Not a very good picture of it, but you get the idea:
Trouble is, I don't have a spare to put on it

Re: anyone have the LMC in bed tire carrier
Actually it wasn't a kit--it came off a '89 Silverado. He did have to cut two holes for the crank so that it would come out under the tailgate.
Sorry it took sol long to reply. Be well and keep it between the bar-ditches, John |
