Newbie ID Guide

I've searched and could not find...

Is there an ID guide so a newbie like me can tell the difference between an 84 and a 87 etc?
The 1st gen Camaros all have visual clues ('67's have vent windows, '68's have side marker lights) that help you instantly ID them.

Is there a guide for 73-87's?

The VIN is the easiest way for me. If all else fails you can decode the VIN at a site like LMC or others. Otherwise visual clues on the trim, but those are so easy to change and with the trucks being so old, chances are they are not original.

Re: Newbie ID Guide

Thanks!
I guess after a 15 year run, it can't possibly be cut and dried! I'll learn over time. I love to be able to look at a car/truck and be able to tell what model year it is.
