Carburetor opinions needed
Does anyone have any opinions or experience with edelbrock 800 CFM carburetors?
Good or bad doesn't matter.

Re: Carburetor opinions needed
I've had good luck with Edelbrock carbs over the years....pretty simple to tune if you need to....most times, they just run great right out of the box.

Re: Carburetor opinions needed
Thanks, Glad to hear good things about the edelbrocks. It's got a .030 over 454 that I'm twistin to 7200 so 800 CFM should be about right.

Re: Carburetor opinions needed
I've got a 800 AVS on mine and no complaints. I got one of the calibration kits as well and have messed with it.......what I really need is a good wideband 02 sensor gauge to really dial it in. Looking at the plugs, it may be a little rich still but since I have a small blower on it (383)....better rich than lean!

Re: Carburetor opinions needed
Is that accounting for my motor not being at 100% volumetric efficiency?

Re: Carburetor opinions needed
Very close to 100% If you are running a free fowing exhaust and a loose converter you will use 850cfm at the 7200 mark. Also depending what your lobe seperation angle is on your cam.
