Rusty drip rail seam
My drip rail was rusting out and rain was leaking down the A-pillar. So tonight I put clear plastic "door guards" over the seam. These are the guard that come in clear or chrome and usually pinch on the rear edge of doors My hope is it will protect the seam edge from rain. I thought I would share. The truck is a 71 GMC Longhorn daily driver.

Re: Rusty drip rail seam
The drip rail above my driver door is severly rusted. Has been ever since I got the truck, although i'm sure its worse now (29yrs later!).
The cover you're talking about MAY help in the short term, but I can't believe it would do much good in the long term. Moisture will always find the opening. And you will still have the rust you have now. It won't make what you have go away. |
