Re: header help!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd go with 1 1/2" shorty's with a 3" collector. You won't need block huggers, and long tubes vs shorty's are a question of clearance with your frame. The bigger primary tubes will touch your spark plug wires and burn them off, and your engine will run like sh*t until you figure it out. Don't ask me how I know this. I have a 350 with block huggers, and they're OK for what I want. I had some long tubes with bigger primary tubes and HATED them because I went through new spark plug wires about once a month, even with the short "header spark plugs".

Re: header help!!!!!!!!!!!
I am running hooker headers on mine. They are full length 1 and 5/8ths with 2 and 1/2 inch collectors. I have run these headers in the truck with three different engine (305, 307, and 350) and they all ran great. I han no plug boot issues with stock heads or aftermarket. I run 8.5mm MSD super conductor wires with the "flex" boots. I will try to get a picture today with my current set up.

Re: header help!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the pics of my Hooker headers. They work great and I have never had a burnt boot issue with theses headers and this style plug.

Re: header help!!!!!!!!!!!
Her's a link. I looked on my bill & it has a different prod.#, but that's them. Code on my bill is 11-67772HDRS.
http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog....gory=New+Items that link didn't work very well, just look under headers, the code on their site is 11-6572HDRS.
