Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
I bought this from a guy outside Sacramento, it was wrecked forever ago. I already got a new a pillar to replace the damaged one. Had a short bed and other stuff sitting around forever waiting for a BBW cab to put it all on.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
I remember that truck. I asked him if he had paperwork for it but never got back to me.

As for the trail blazer, its something people have been talking about doing for a while, but I am actually going to go through with it.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
I am building a brand new frame for the truck, bagged on 22's. Will lay rockers and am thinking about a factory 2 tone paint scheme.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
I am probably wrong but I thought the TB 4.2 was an inline 5 cyl, please correct me.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
The trailblazers have the inline 6 or a 5.3 v8, the colorados and canyons have the 5cyl.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
New frame is a good idea, that Trailblazer looks hammered. Cant wait to see the marriage of these two.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
So after a huge mess with me not getting that trailblazer and getting outbid on many others i lucked out this weekend and found an 04 5.3L engine, trans, computer, and uncut wiring harness. Haggled with the guy and got it all for $1000.
So i have finally been able to start working on it again. Got the whole chassis roughed in with temporary crossmembers and the new cab mount brackets fab'ed and welded on. Got the old smashed firewall drilled out and working on replacing the bent a-pillar. |

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
Haven't been able to work on the truck much. On the road, other stuff, and sponsoring a local show also. Got a little progress though. Should be driving under it's own power by the ST show at the beginning of Dec.

Re: Not your average 65 c-10 build
BTW the wheel tucking is a stock 15inch steel wheel. The truck will be rolling on 22's.
