Dash paint color
Can you guys give me some guidance on this. I'm putting my truck back together, and still not sure what color to paint it yet, but I want to get the wiring put in and the engine running. My thought is to paint the dash with a neutral color (rattle can) now so that I get get it back together. (Having it stock is not what I'm after.) Any thoughts, suggestions, or opinions are appreciated.
Thanks, Ken

Black is good. I'm also considering silver. Is there anyone out there with a silver dash, and different color body?

KEH, I plan on my truck being Aqua Pearl Metalic, and Silver ext. I'm doing the dash, and headliner in a flat Silver to match, with the doorpanels and lower cab half in a flat Aqua also. Wish I could find a cloth aqua seat cover!!

Class of 69,
I was actually thinking along the same lines, except with a darker green. How far into the project are you? Any pics?

KEH, It's a GMC right now, and I'm in the process of collecting all the parts to change it to a Chev. And right here I'm gonna get a ton of flak from the GMC boy's!!! The plan was to have it all together, and painted by fall, but I had a serious financial setback last week, and I'm not sure if the paint will happen this year.

I know all about the setbacks. Sounds like you have a good plan - you'll get it done.

I think it is cool when you establish a theme for your interior and exterior paint. I am building a daily driver and am going with a black and midnight blue theme. Kind of "rough and tough" like the truck's hard working early life before I decided to give it another thirty years. The interior's midnight blue will match the exterior color. The seats are grey to match some chrome and machined metal in the interior while the gauge bezel. seat belts, carpet, fender wells, and x-line bed will all be black. I just hope I get it all put together sometime this century.
