my "MINT" core support from JAMES (TEXPARTS, customs to classics) in lone oak texas

this was the "mint, rust free, bondo free, straight, painted gloss black, ready to install" core support that i bought off james.

can anyone tell me what that thick goopy looking stuff is thats painted all over where the inner wheel wells bolt to the core support? i noticed this thick goopy stuff filled in all the bolt holes where the inner wheel well bolts to, see how theres only one bolt hole left? i wonder what happened to the other two? can anyone tell me what this stuff is?

sure looks like a great "mint, rust free, bondo free, straight, painted gloss black, ready to install" core support" don't it?

ok all sarcasm aside now, James wasnt very understanding over the phone, he wouldnt admit he messed up or that he had totally misrepresented the product and he even started to cop an attitude with me. I ended up getting a full refund from Bo, its too bad such a nice guy is trying to pick up the slack for this lying inbred hick whos already ripped off how many members on this board now? ive lost count!

anyways this is the type of product to expect from james outta lone oak texas. save your dough! the core support i was replacing with this one had LESS rust!

it worked out, Bo was nice enough to bail out his new retarted business partner and refunded me my full purchase ammount + shipping. I really hope Bo has seen all this come out on the forum and that he splits from james, wouldnt want to see james bring down Bos reputation.

this post was just to raise awareness about this shady character james from lone oak texas, hes the guy selling all the chrome stuff on ebay under the name texparts and hes screwed over another 4 members of this forum besides me.

Isn't he also under the name 67-72truckparts? or something close to that name. I imagine he's doing what a lot of people on e-bay are doing. You know sign up under several names and bid on your own stuff to jack up the price, and if they actually win they're own stuff they give themselves a pat on the back feedback!!! Kinda sick ain't it?!!

whats up

I keep hearing people talk about Bo bailing this texparts guy out of trouble. What is that all about. Do they have a business together? Is one safe to deal with? I detest people burning people on parts deals here or on ebay. One thing I have to admit though, is that my plating business has picked up since board members have been screwed by other platers. The feedback for 67-72 parts on ebay is not to bad. Only three negatives. Wierd how his feedback on this board seems to suck, but on ebay it is ok? BTW, I feel for you guys who have gotten burned. I know what that is like, I can assure you of that. Take care guys.

James apparently has a lot of parts to sell, So Bo teamed up with him to help him sell the stuff. Bo contacted me to resolve the matter. Bo is a good guy and I would have no problem dealing with him in the future, as for james.... stay clear!

as for his feedback, i noticed it wasnt bad either, thats why i bid. mind you i would have left negative feedback, but James took SOOOO long to mail my stuff out, and it took so long to get it resolved that it was too late for me to leave feedback.

i just pulled up the page from ebay.

here was the exact description.

"YOU ARE BIDDING ON (1) GM RADIATOR SUPPORT IN MINT CONDITION NO RUST FITS 67-72 CHEVY a ND GMC TRUCKS. FRESH COAT OF BLACK PAINT IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS CALL OR E MAIL ME AT 903-662-5199 OR texparts@yahoo.com THIS IS NOT JUNK no bondo and ready to install "

i gave him a phone call before bidding to check what type of paint we were talking about here, he danced around all my questions telling me it was show quality, not a thing wrong with it, ready to install. He told me shipping was only $30 before i bid, then after bidding he told me shipping was $55 or $60, i forget which.

im gonna email this thread to james, id love to see his response to this!

Thumbs down

I wanted to take my truck in yesterday to the trans shop to have them look at the trans, because I believe the kick down switch is bad. The gentleman said bring it in at 2pm and I'll take a look at it and change the trans fluid because I wanted it changed. I told him I wanted to wait there while it was being worked on.Then I went all the way down to his shop and he drove it and told me the switch was bad . He told me I had a very nice truck and especially it being a BB truck.
Then he tells me to bring it back when I can drop it off for 2-3 hrs and leave it with him. The whole point was to take the truck down there and get it worked on and fixed. Otherwise If I had to take it back again and leave it with him for 2-3hrs, this trip was a waste of time.
Does this sound suspiciuos? What do you all think? I want to see if you all feel the same way I do? and I want to hear your comments.I feel there's some people you can trust and some you can't, and I've been around and seen alot of things . I'll be taking my truck somewhere else. Let me hear what you all think is going on here ,so I can see if my suspisions are the same. Thank you.

I surely hope you have filed with ebay on this purchase. This is totally B.S., and a switch tactic.

Looks like that one was rusted away, and a poor repair.

To all concerned, do us all a favor and turn these in to ebay. The items are legal contracts that can be delt with. But they need to be advised.

I noticed in the EBAY description is said
Quote:
FITS 67-72 CHEVY AND GMC TRUCKS.
I thought 67-68 and 69-72 used different core supports. It would be a little frustrating if you got the wrong one. From what I seen in this and other board post I would think his days of selling parts on this board are about finished. Thanks to all that sent up the red flag....Stroker

yeah, i bought a paintable front bumper from these guys, before i knew that they were shady. after i won the auction, i got an email from james stating to call him. i did, and he said that he had 2 different paintable front bumpers, one of which was in good shape, and one which had 4 holes on the top. he had the nerve to ask me which i wanted. i told him that i was rebuilding a truck, so i wanted the one without the holes. well, to make a long story short, about a month after the emails, i finally get the bumper in, and lo and behold, it has 4 holes on the top. and they aren't centered either. well i emailed him, and he said that the other one that he had wasn't very nice, and that he wanted to send me what he had, so that i would be satisfied. he also said that he would send a good one later when he got one, but that has been since december, and nothing yet. i won't buy from them again, mainly because the quality of the items that are being sold, and the misrepresentation of the items.

yeah, and it was a positive. i mean, i didn't expect to actually receive the one with the holes on it, but at least i knew that there was a possibility. i'm looking back through my stuff, and at that time, he said that he would switch them out at n/c if he gets another one. but he "hasn't," and i told him that it was ok. i didn't want to have to fix the one that i got, but because i'm building something to have fun in, i'm not going to worry about it. i'll just weld up the holes. my bumper was actually worse, because of the mounting holes were rounded, not square, so pretty much anything that i got was better. for $65 it wasn't that bad of a deal, just not what i expected from the phone call.

no, i'm not trying to defend them either. i was just stating what happened to me. no i won't buy from them either.
