Re: How rare
Fairly uncommon but not quite rare is how I'd rate them

Re: How rare
You aren't going to find production numbers if that is what you are after.
I agree with special-K's assessment.

Re: How rare
First, I agree with everything already stated. But let me offer this for thought. I think the term "rare" is widely overused, especially on ebay.
Buddy buckets or the CST A50 seat option is fairly uncommon, these just don't show-up in venues like swap meets or salvage yards like in years past. However, almost every CST/ Camper Special 67-68 I've parted out had them. I've even seen these seats installed in '68 panel (delivery) truck from the factory where both driver and passenger fold down. That's very uncommon and possibly "rare". Lastly, I've also seen this seat installed in a '66 Camper Special that was a cab/ chassis, with a custom camper installed and the rear of the cab was cut out to provide a pass thru to the camper. |

Re: How rare
one thing to consider is they may be dodge seats. Make sure there is a bracket that bolts to the floor as part of the frame under the center jump seat. If not, it's a set of dodge buckets. Worth 150-250 in decent condition...where true buddy buckets start at around 400 most of the time when trashed (although a set sold for 250 on here recently----an absolute steal!) and restored buddy buckets run from 800-1200 easily...

Re: How rare
Some buddies will fold down, others have a fixed back frame. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which ones came in the truck.
