Exclamation Rear interior cab floor corner question

As we have reached an impass I am yet again turning to the experts for sum help! My "interior" rear floor pan at the cab corners (the curved portion of the floor pan which meets the outer cab corner and the rear of the cab) needs a skin graft and I can't seem to locate this "repair/patch" piece on anything I'm looking at! Can anyone help me out and get me pointed in the right direction? What its called, who might have it,etc. Thanks, H

Re: Rear interior cab floor corner question

My '63 doesn't have an inside curved piece. It's just a single walled cab corner. I've seen what you are talking about on older model Chevy trucks. LMC has an inside cab corner for the 47-55 series. $39.95

Yeah Boz, this is the actual floor portion (floor pan) that comes into contact w/said cab corner. Everyone I'm calling states they have never had a request for this piece and dont know what I'm talking about!

Re: Rear interior cab floor corner question

CD. Thats the "outer cab floor" left. I need the piece from the end (seat belt bolthole end) of the "outer cab floor" that extends to the rear of the cab and downward towards the cab corner! H

Re: Rear interior cab floor corner question

Was able to get a picture! Due to the fact that beyond the edge of the door frame nothing exists on my truck, the "cab floor outer" may well be all that I need! CD, have you had the chance to see if the downward portion with the 3vert holes meet up to the outer cab corner door side? The rusted portion had been pushed down in mine giving the impression that another piece extended from the cab floor outer. Thanks, H

Re: Rear interior cab floor corner question

I know what oyu are talking about i was unable to find that peice for my 65 gmc but it was not to awfull hard to fabricate a peice to fit in there and weld it into place, the local metal shop wanted 40 a side but i found it easier to grab some 16gauge and a metal bending brake from harbor freight, got it done for about half the price. Once agian sorry but i had no luck finding this either!
ps i will see if i can find my template and put a pic up for ya.

Re: Rear interior cab floor corner question

Maybe some of these guys will chime in Crawl, but i think the outer floor CD posted the picture of is in fact the part/piece that goes there. On the GMC the seatbelt bolt hole is in the middle of the angled portion. Mine are just too far gone to resemble the part CD posted the pic of!

I am lucky enough to be home and have my truck here so i went out and compared and yes the peice pictured will work for that it might not go high enough up for you (mine was tore all the way up ) if it is not extending that should not be a problem. i do remember now im not cheap but dont like buying things i dont really need all of to get a small peiceif i remember rite they were about 80 a side. So you can make yourself a template and fab some up or get the outer floor patch. hope that helped.80 a side isnt much if you need inner rockers along with the rear patch dont forget to add it all up before making your choice.

Re: Rear interior cab floor corner question

This is the same piece on the drivers side installed. crappy pic but you can see i just used the front part of the new and cut the rear part off. The steel in the back part(the seat belt hole area) is the original. The seatbelt holes are not on the new steel. You have to drill them yourself.
I'm pretty sure these r the pieces you need. Heres the part number

Top Banana
1 1-0848-227 '60-'66 CHEVROLET OUTER CAB FLOOR, DRIVER'S SIDE $57.00 $57.00
1 1-0848-228 '60-'66 CHEVROLET OUTER CAB FLOOR, SECTION, PASSENGER'S SIDE $57.00 $57.00........These are the full panels.

These are the rear parts that you need
1-0848-223 '60-'66 CHEVROLET REAR OUTER CAB FLOOR SECTION, DRIVER'S SIDE $29.95 $29.95
1-0848-224 '60-'66 CHEVROLET REAR OUTER CAB FLOOR SECTION, PASSENGER'S SIDE $29.95 $29.95

Good luck Have fun
