Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
Took my truck to the dyno last week and it dyno'ed 768hp and 1305ftlbs @ the rear wheels. The truck has a stock bottom end Duramax diesel engine in it with twin turbos. After the dyno I took the truck to the track and it ran a 10.99 @ 122mph. I need to work on the suspension because the truck pulls hard to the right on take off. Not sure how you get the video's on here but this is the link to them

Re: Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
Awesome truck but the only late model bed I have ever liked is the one Mike Nutt did for his truck.
I would love to do a duramax 3/4 ton Suburban.

Re: Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
That is just sweet!!! I've always thought that the duramax should be installed in one of these pickups. Big enough engine bay to actually work in and one of the best body styles GM made.
Looks like you might be giving Orange Crush a run for its money soon!! And pretty much smoke free. Orange Crush is the only other Duramax swap I've seen. Again great work!! Thomas |

Re: Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
It took me 7 months and 1200hours to do the swap. That is fabing everything for the motor and trans mounts, all the frame work, the wiring, and installing a GM 14 bolt rearend with coilovers. I tryed loading pictures but it was taking way to long. I will try later.

Re: Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
I guess it worked. The first one is of the bus I bought to get the engine and trans and all the wiring. The secound one is of the fire wall. I had to push it back all the way to where the dash comes down. The next one is of some of the frame work, and finally the engine bay last year with out the secound turbo. I need to get some pictures of the engine this year with the secound turbo.

Yes that does look nice under the hood, you did a very nice job
Did you use the 10.5 FF 14 bolt or the 9.5 SF 14 bolt?

Re: Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
The duramax weighs the same as a big block. The Allison trans is whats heavy, it weighs 360lbs. The whole truck weighs 5300lbs.

Re: Dyno'ed 768hp 1305ftlbs & ran a 10.99@122
I used the 10.5 FF axle but I had the ends cut off and Ford big bearing ends welded on to it. Moiser makes custom axles and a spool for it.

Very nice again! Since it was mentioned, I'm curious now. What kind of mpg's have you seen or is this strictly a track only toy?
