Where does the oil sender go???

I have got a 1985 k30 dually with a 454. The electric gauge was swapped for mechanical and I'm going back original. I would like. Pic to see where it goes.

Ithink that a lot of the big blocks had the o/p sw/ on the driverside at the front just behind the power steering pump. If not there over the oil fiter. The only other place that I have seen the o/p s/w is by the dist. Where is the wire? that would give you the biggest clue as to where to put that thing. Should be a brown single wire with a round rubber plug with a spade terminal in the center. Hope that helps. Jim

All of my big blocks have had oil pressure ports just above the oil filter but none have been as new as your 85 except my 90 that I never tore into that far to know where the oil sender was so I can't help you there.

Where did they put the electric sender? It should be in the same place the mechanical one was before.

my 83 454 is like hugger said, behind the Power steering pump. Wire is coming down from the bundle near the AC comp.
