85 k30
Here a few pics of my latest creation. It has a M1008 frame, an 87 EFI 454, SM465, NP205, 4 wheel disc, 6" lift. It has been 3 years in the making and everything is new, refurbished or re-plated. I am getting the tires and rims next week and hope to have it finished in a couple of weeks.

Just Drive it in nice weather. I spent to much time and money to beat it. I have another truck I can do that to.

Re: 85 k30
That truck is beautiful, colors are awesome. Better than when it was built by GM. I love the interior, and the chrome CUCV bumper.

What did you use to coat the frame? I really like the way it looks. |

Re: 85 k30
The frame was mint when I started being that it was an Ex-Military truck frame, so I had something to work with.
I pretty much sanded most of the paint off and put on about 3 coats of PM Industries Master Series, Mastercoat Silver on. I sanded between coats, and sprayed on 3 coats of Master Series AG111 2 part semi gloss chassis black. The stuff works as well as POR 15 and is a little cheaper. The first 2 pics are what are started with so you have an idea how clean it was. |
