Boss wheels cap won't fit my rotor?!

I have Boss wheels with ECE conversion 6lug rotors and the center cap won't fit over the dust cap or wheel center dia. I could shave the rotor outside dia., and pull the dust cap and I bet they still won't fit. Right now I have rear caps but no front. I just have the old dust caps for a center cap lol. Anyone running Boss Wheels and have a way to run their caps?

Got any pics? The last set of Boss's I put on, I had to put a little grease on the O ring to get it to pop in...

Looks like the wheel is on crooked or the cap is.... Or it could just be the angle of the pic I guess.

It's the angle, I think I was like a couple inches away. Anyways the tabs on the cap won't slide in and I think if it did it would hit the spindle nut. I ever thought about cutting the tabs, doing a dust cover, and glueing the cap on. If it was a trailer queen I would but I drive at speeds to 65 lol.

Re: Boss wheels cap won't fit my rotor?!

Well, the thing is the wheels weren't made for ECE's conversion rotors and ECE's rotors weren't made for the wheels. I don't see what Boss Motorsports could do unless they would custom make me a full set of caps that are more round to clear my dust caps. I may just machine my rotors and use a little clear sylicone to keep dust out and leave the dust caps off. I thought there were others with disc and Boss wheels.

Looks like the same issue the Boss 338 wheels had.
Grind or machine the edge of the rotor.
Trim the spindle to the shortest possible length past the castle nut.
Modify the dust cap.
(cut the cap down)

Start with post #40,...

Take the rotors to a machinist and have them turned down so the caps fit..
