Modifications you might want to try
-
If you lose the spring clips for your heater control cables you might need a novel way to secure them. Here it is... If your best friend drives your truck and you tell him "don't use the emergency brake" and he does anyway, you might want to use this sure fire method to make sure it doesn't happen again... The more trucks I disassemble the more clever stuff I come across. As many trucks as Randy (teeitup) has taken apart I bet he has seen a lot of this type of American ingenuity.. LockDoc

Re: Modifications you might want to try
One of the superintendants at my old job had an s-10, it had a 2.8 in it. One day the power steering bracket snapped. We managed to tie it up with tie-wire and make it work. We were on the highway at the time. When he took it to a shop to get fixed the techs all stood around and stared at it. They just couldn't believe it worked. This was back before widespread camera phones or else I wouldve taken a pic. It was amazing!!

Re: Modifications you might want to try
Just a FYI. I have found the spring clips at my local Ace hardware. I always dig through all of the drawers and bins, at any hardware store I visit. Some of them carry stuff I never thought you could find.
