Van Tilt Part #2 , attn: longhornmail and others

hey guys--->got more questions...i went to a wreckers today and got that intermediate shaft or whatever its called anyways i shouldve asked you guys more questions cause i just figured 69 and up shafts would work, and i got one out of a mid to late 70's 1/2 ton, and when i got home i called my dad to tell him i got one and we started talking and it turns out this one wont work, the bottom of the van shaft its completely round and splined with a groove, this one i got today is round with 2 flat edges and no splines....so what i want to know how is are there more than one type of intermediate shaft or a specific year i need to find inorder for this to work, what im babaling about is i need the end that will mate to the bottom of the van shaft, lengh itsnt really a biggie but what will bolt up directly with no mods to the van shaft? thanks in advance guys
