blazer tank install ? little help here guys....

First off I did use search but really did not help me out guys. I am installing a blazer tank from Brothers in a 67 C10 SWB and seems to me when I have it almost there the filler neck area is hitting top part of the driver side frame. I was curious be jumping into it has anyone ran into this problem? I thought about notch the frame out but figured I would check to see if I could get help here first. Thanks Brandon

Unless you fill direct thru the floor I believe you only have a couple of choices as that neck point directly into the frame from that angle. Notching the frame is one choice or modifing the filler neck to get around the frame. Look at some of the older posts with side fill there should be some pics and info for you. Same problem for step beds too. Unless someone has some different ideas.

I just did this with mine, there is enough room to push the tank to the pass side to get more space for the filler neck stub that come out of the tank..
the stub on mine I have alittle over 1/8" after installing the hose between the frame and hose, I didn't notch it.. I can take a pic later today after work if your like..

Thanks holding off cutting till see pictures. So where did you get your tank from? Curious if some might have to be notched to fit right, no big deal thought if it has to be.

Re: blazer tank install ? little help here guys....

Just did mine last weekend, I notched the frame a bit just to make sure I had enough clearance for the filler hose. I didn't see it hurting anything.

I did the same as yfs200p did. just a bit to be sure the hose would have some clearance

Currently dealing with the same problem. No one seems to mention this in all the treads.

yfs200p, seems to have a lot more clearnece, even with that small notch. Maybe its the angle of his pic.

I was thinking aobut trying to dimple the frame.
